STAR provides training for front-line staff in general credit union operations, as well as supplementary programs in accounting, consumer and advanced lending, member services, sales and technology. Volunteer Achievement Program courses focus on the educational needs of credit union volunteers. Today’s rapidly changing credit union climate has credit unions relying more heavily than ever on the leadership skills of their elected officials. In fact, to keep up with this pace more and more credit unions are requiring continuing education for their volunteers. CUNA’s Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP) helps volunteers learn how to work together effectively, make informed decisions, and improve credit union performance. The Volunteer Leadership Program is designed to create a simplified approach to some rather complex subjects. It provides credit union directors with a convenient, practical way to become certified in the areas of credit union operations, governance, compliance, and more. Plus, through your studies and taking the online exams, you’ll earn your credentials as a Certified Credit Union Volunteer (CCUV) to prove you're an accountable credit union volunteer.
Regulatory Training & Certification Program (RegTraC) is the premier training and certification program for credit union regulatory and compliance training. Organized into two levels, Level 1 for noncompliance staff and Level 2 for compliance staff, RegTraC provides information on credit union laws and regulations at your fingertips. Level 1 for noncompliance staff provides a general overview of each regulation and Level 2 meets the needs of staff directly responsible for compliance with a detailed discussion of each regulation.

Announcing a new option for receiving your certification in financial counseling! FiCEP is a self-study option to earn your certification right at your credit union. Modeled after our popular Certified Financial Counselors School, this program includes two parts of four learning modules each. When you successfully complete the proctored exams for both parts (eight total modules), you will be a Credit Union Certified Financial Counselor ready and able to assist your members reach their financial goals.
Effective online training for credit unions (CPDOnline)
CPDOnline is a web-based training service that includes everything you need to manage your credit union training program from start to finish.
