Summer Theme Parks

New Hampshire credit unions welcome the summer season of fundraising with two special member benefits.  During the months of June – September, credit unions sell reduced rate consignment tickets for both Canobie Lake Park and Water Country.

Each ticket sold generates a donation for Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire.  These summer theme parks both located within the state are a traditional rite of summertime in New Hampshire as they offer big thrills and entertainment for all.

Canobie Lake Park

With more than 85 rides, games, shows, and attractions there is something for everyone in the family at Canobie Lake Park – even those who are looking for BIG thrills. This year’s newest thrill ride, Equinox is ready to elicit plenty of screams from those daring enough to climb aboard and take them on a breathtaking flight of almost 75 feet into the air.  A huge boom lifts 24 passengers into the sky as they sit 8 apiece on three huge “arms” that revolve around a center hub.  The thrills increase exponentially as the boom rotates and each arm in turn begins to flip independently.  The only way to describe Equinox is intense and the perfect complement to Canobie’s other thrills like their newest roller coaster, Untamed.  Canobie’s Summer of SuperStars Live tribute shows will rock the Park’s historic Dancehall Theater and Midway Stage once again this summer.  The new Tribute to Katy show makes its debut this year and the enormously popular Tribute to Michael and Tribute to Bieber return along with “Forever Kings,” a show combining Canobie’s legendary Tribute to Michael and Elvis.  The Park’s “Wildlife Encounters” family educational show, featuring live exotic animals, also returns.

The tickets are sold on consignment for $31.00 and include a $2.00 donation for Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire.  This is a savings of $4.00 per ticket as general admission is $35.00.

Water Country

At New England’s largest water park you will find thrilling slides that get the heart pounding, to attractions perfect for the little ones; Water Country has fun covered with excitement for the entire family. The newest attraction is Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror - You’re not afraid of the dark….are you?  Find out when you plunge into the screaming blackness of Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror which is the first water ride of its kind in New England. You’ll sit face-to-face in a 2-person tube then descend into a twisting 40-foot plunge through a totally enclosed, totally dark tunnel. Along the way, a wicked tornado funnel will leave your head spinning and your fears in your throat! A work of evil genius, it’s a 300 foot trip into the dark side of thrills.

The tickets are sold on consignment for $29.00 and include a $3.01 donation for Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire.  This is a savings of $8.99 per ticket for the “48” and taller” as general admission of those daily tickets are $37.99.
