Ensuring regulatory compliance is one of the most time consuming and complicated activities that a credit union has to address.
League staff regularly assists New Hampshire credit unions in complying with appropriate state and federal laws and regulations governing credit union operations. Government agencies, such as the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), New Hampshire’s Banking Department and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) require daily monitoring for developments, rulings and other changes that will impact credit unions. League staff keeps a constant eye on the regulatory environment to ensure that New Hampshire credit unions are made aware of new developments in a timely manner.
An important dues-supported tool that houses the various releases of information and provides summaries of new laws and regulations is InfoSight, our online compliance database available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. InfoSight provides easy references for credit union personnel at all levels, from the busy CEO to the compliance officer in need of more in-depth information.
League-affiliated credit unions have access to two regular publications for information relative to compliance.
- Compliance Connection is produced monthly and summarizes recent important regulatory activities.
