LEAGUE OVERVIEW
The New Hampshire Credit Union League is a democratically controlled organization owned by its member credit unions. A board of directors, made up of 7 credit union individuals, each of whom are actively employed by a credit union or actively serving their credit union as a volunteer official, are elected by the membership. This body sets policy for the League and directs the professional staff. A number of committees established in accordance with the League by-laws deliberate on areas of importance to member credit unions. These committees then provide the board with valuable information and insight into the best course of action to pursue in each of these areas.
The League is focused on helping its member credit unions meet the financial needs of the people of New Hampshire. Guided by its volunteer board of directors, the League seeks to accomplish this mission by providing legislative and public advocacy, education and training, product development and operational support. The League also is the primary means through which credit unions share resources and ideas in keeping with the cooperative nature of the credit union movement.
